Company History

Private company “Baltmarine Terminal” started its activity in 1997 by renting customs warehouse – cold storage in the territory of the Freeport of Riga, Spridisa street 1.

The main field of activity of the company is frozen production transit provision, which includes cargo acceptance, storage, forwarding services and delivery.

In 2009 the company extended its operation in cargo forwarding thanks to Riga Universal Terminal cold storage.

In 2012 the company was permitted to open a customs warehouse in the port area for metal, wood and rubble storage and rehandling.

In 2013 the company obtained customs warehouse – cold storage, that it had previously rented.

The company “Baltmarine Terminal” concluded a long-term contract with the Freeport of Riga on the rent of the territory of the “Baltmarine terminal” with a total area of ​​more than 44 thousand sq. m.

The development plan involves construction of two deep-water berths with the draft of a ship of 10m, that will considerably allow to increase the company “Baltmarine Terminal” cargo turnover and opportunities.

In 2018, the management of the Freeport of Riga confirmed the construction of a new cold storage project, that would eventually allow around 10 thousand tons of frozen products to be stored simultaneously.

The company “Baltmarine Terminal” has the opportunities to expand its business activities in the territory of the Free Port of Riga and other companies are invited to become partners for joint cooperation.
